Flashpaq, Go or No go?

I have read a couple posts about the flashpaq but no final say on it being good or not. I have a '06 auto, and I am just looking for speedo cali. and alittle performance with some mpg gains. I will not be stacking or doing any racing.

I have one on my 06 dually auto and love it. It is on the performance tow setting. It really woke the truck up. So far I would say it is one sweet little box. I'm calling their tech support and see if it would be good to also stick a
Roteck timing advancing device on it also. I'm not sure on what parameters it makes it power. Get it you won't be dissapointed !!

I have had one for about 2500 miles now and love it. Mine too is set on toe performance and it did make a big difference. Strange though my egt's are lower now that I have the flashpaq than before I had it. More fuel not as lean I guess? as far as mpg I couldn't tell you because with the 35" tires I had no accurate way to calculate the mpg prior to recalibrating the speedo. Right now with 5200 miles, afe pro gaurd 7, magna flow muffler I am seeing about 17 in the city. One trip to the texas hill country at about 72-75 with cruise on through the hills I saw a whole 18.5 and these are hand calculated. I'm happy with it though.

Many of our customers love the new Flashpaq and its features. It is very easy to navigate, and load what ever setting you want your truck at. Plus all the parameters you can check, change, be able to clear codes, internet upgradable, and has a data log feature which is all handy in the one unit. There are other programmers that can do similar with more hp, but the Flashpaq seems to be a solid unit and great overall.

Changing alittle.
Will the edge ez work on a '06? I see on hp upgrades website it says it fits. I assume it hooks into different connectors then the juice. Is this correct?

There was no error codes, but i would advise to get a hold of a Wintel computer and down load the software to the computer then let it check for updates automatically and it will bring everything up to snuff. Tech at Superchips said there is a Mac version coming out this summer, this will make it a even better product !!

i have a 2005 dually auto with no upgrades other than the flashpaq and it increased my highway milage from 17 to 21 mpg and gave it a very noticable power increase. so far i am very pleased with it. i have only run it on high performance and have not tried the tow performance yet.

The data logging function isn't available, similiar to how the extreme tune isn't available yet. Also, the only user tuneable option it currently supports is tire size.

This product is very new and thus far hasn't received much love after it's initial release. If you are looking for a mature downloader with lots of options I would have to suggest the BDDL over the flashpaq. Although, I am happy what the performance tune did to my truck, but I'm sure the BDDL would provide the same results.
