Flashpac vs Quad XZT

Any of you guys using a Flashpac or a Quad XZt to drive or tow with? What are your impressions of them? What about EGT's, performance and mileage? Is the Flashpac detectable after it has been removed? Has anybody dynoed the XZT on a 05-06 truck?

Flashpac for towing is great. I pull a 10000 lb. RV and it seems to work well.

I agree,my flashpac is great pulling in tow mode. And at the track in tow mode it went 15.33 at 88.5mph.It also does real good on fuel. The performance setting makes crazy power, but the tranny doesn't really know what to do with it.

I have an xzt and really like it's performance. Better mpg @highway speeds I get 19-20 all around driving and driving it like I want (heavy foot). Haven't towed over 6000#'s yet I always unhook it since I don't have gauges yet. I don't think egt's would be a problem but want to be safe just in case.

It's made by superchips. Has 2 settings, tow performance-50 hp, and performance-110 hp. Has capability for extreme setting but has not been released yet. plugs in under dash in diagnostic port. My truck ran 15.4 1/4 mile on performance-110hp.

I tow a 10k 5th wheel with the XZT and I have not seen EGT's above 1350* under the worse conditions. I have the Commander set to defuel at 1400* and that has not happened yet. Great little box.

I called them yesterday and they told me if you remove it the day before you go in for service that all that shows up is the there was a loss of power , sort of like disconecting your battery. He did not give any EGT's, but you can make it shift a little better in the shift point area. Oh yeah it makes it's power by a combination of timing and pressure no duration. Sounds good but it's still a little scarry.

Maybe you can clarify which product you're refering to, Flashpac or XZT?
