I was wondering where that thing went to. Those darn noseyneighbors of mine . Like Richard said, give him a call and he'll set you up. By the way,Richard is running the smaller of the 2 pumps (GSL-391) on his dyno proven 600+hp truck rite now with no problems. I think that speeks louder than words can express as to how well these things perform. I went wiTh the 392, as will most others, simply for that little extra sftey factor. I cant quote the price I paid, cause I was one of the beta testers and the price was conditioned that I dont say puplicly how much.

Really? I thought he was running a RASP when he made them numbers. Has he dyno'd since then with the Walbro setup?

From what I can see his kit uses the same regulator as the RASP.

Yes sir, I was running the RASP and I never had a problem with it in any way. My pressures are 3 to 4 psi higher all the time now at the same settings. As soon as the dust settles around here a bit I'll get back up to PDR to spin the rollers again. Any good excuse for a road trip.

BTW, nice looking system you put together there Opie.

What I love about the picture is how small the pump is... And yet it kicks butt!! just shows ya that motor size is not all that matters

I would like to cetainly test this pump as I know exactly what PSI I can drag my FP down to...

This looks like a simple add on pump. Do you think with a stock 3rd gen thats not going to add more then 60hp & has the in tank pump would benifit from it? I'm waiting for the Smarty to come out & thats about all I plan on adding to my truck power wise.

Walbro Kit hookup

Does the Walbro pump wiring hook into the factory harness so that it still used the factory fuel relay?

My problem is with my FASS setup it does not hook up to the factory harness in any way for the fuel relay to kick the pump in and out. This has also eliminated the cool down feature on my TST R49. The FASS turns off with the key and won't continue supplying fuel for the cool down stage like the factory setup would allow.

If this operates like the factory unit on the 05's then you are on to a big solution for the R49 users.

Any info would be great.

I'm working on that right now for the in-tank trucks. The problem is in how the pump is wired and getting the new pump on that circuit without having to cut wires. I may have a solution. I'll keep you guys posted.

I assume the Walbro doesn't draw as much amps as the FASS pumps do. With that assumption, can an interface connector be installed between the factory harness at the tank allowing the sending unit to pass through to the tank and the pump power diverted to the walbro?

That would be clean and easy.

I have looked at that but haven't had any luck locating the connectors yet. I believe I just found a way to tap at the fuse box though. This should eliminate the code from removing the fuel pump relay and allow the cool down feature on the TST-R49 to function. Gotta' order a few connectors and line up a test truck now.

Gypsyman,

Have you considered calling TST and seeing if you can both come up with a solution? I know they are working on a solution for the R49/FASS problem on the 05/06 trucks. Maybe between the two of you something can be done pretty quick.

Just some thoughts.
