Finally loaded TNT-R, my experience

Well, I had to got a new laptop last week with VISTA (dang it). My old one got a virus, diarrhea, hangover. vomiting, wretching, boils, canker sores - - - whole nine yards. Well, me and my Computer Guru Homewrecker did in 2 hours or so what a nine year old could have done in 10 minutes I guess. H.Wrecker has XP like I was used to. Thanks to H.Wrecker, we finally go it loaded and warmed up. Time to mash it. Put everything on 2 and SW on 7 not 9. Have heard 7 is stouter than 9? Set the RPM limiter to 3500, I like to go easy on my truck. Anyway it is plenty stout and would bark dual rear 19.5's in 4th. I really like this tune, it reminds me of a stock with almost twice the HP and TQ. No codes and very smooth and linear in delivery of power. I am going to drive it today as it was dark and could not tell about smoke. I don't like smoke hardly at all unless it is coming from spinning tires. For anyone who has problems with the Vista, what wasted all our time was I downloaded the Zip-7 with the 64bit instead of 32. Maybe it will help someone not get as agitated and waste 2 hours on a task that should be short. WHAT ARE YOUR EXPERIENCES ABOUT RUNNING THE 7 VS. 9? Oh, and I could hear no rattle whatsoever, but HWreck said it was very little. No codes, smooth as silk. I don't see need to ever change my tune unless a better one comes out or I am towing. I don't have any of the beta's. Now I want a cam and twins, maybe after I get it paid for. Sorry for long post, I am excited about getting the tune loaded and way it ran.

You like to take it easy on your truck! Was that before or after the no lift shifts!I'm glad you finally got it.The TNT/R is by far the smoothest most linear tune I have ran from Smarty and without the huge smoke show. And yes,Vista sucks. What a pain.We looked like 2 dumb ***** for a couple of hours but we got it down now.

I had FUN messing with the 7zip too, if ya read my post/thread on 'how to download from an attach.' I got real frustrated.....

I ran on 9 with 75%, rp 3, tq 3 and would stomp on it and hit 1450 egt's-115 mph and let off.

I'm gonna try 7 now and see what happens.....btw, I had no fuel problems with a borrowd stg 3 cp3.

Nelrod, I see in your sig that you have 19.5's on your truck. What style are they and what size tires are you running? Thanks
