Finally got my stack on.

I finally got my stack put on today. It took 3 hours in the pouring rain and 40* temperature, but it was worth it. I will post pics as soon as i get them from my friend. Sounds great. Nice and loud when i get on the skinny, but just hums quietly when i cruise.

haha. Sorry guys. The weather wasnt cooperating the day I put it on, and then I have been on the road for the past two days.

On a similar note. I bought the stack from MBRP. They didnt come with directions. But me and my friend laid them out every way it could possibly go, and the pipe clamps they gave me didnt fit right. So We thought maybe they were just lose fitting clamps. So about an hour into my drive i noticed that the exhaust sounded different and sure enough the clamp the clamps the 90* L pipe to the flex pipe came undone.

So with the random wire i had, i strapped my exhaust up under the truck so it wouldnt put pressure on the turbo and strapped down the stack, so it wouldnt be loose. Should be back on friday, this time with the welder.

Sorry for the waste of time.

Oh and The first tank I used on my trip I got 16.9 mpg going 85 the whole way, second tank I got 15.9 going 65. The third tank 16.4 going 80. Go figure, the faster i drive, the better millage i get.

Thanks. The stack didnt want to fit in the S pipe at all, so I had to use a little persuasion. It fits now, haha.

Unrelated note...I love your tires. Are those the 37" Cooper Discoveries you mention in your profile? What rate are they (D or E)?

Thanks
The one in the bed is the Cooper Discovery. It is D Rated.

The one on the rear driver side is my spare, and it is a Procomp Mud Terrain, Load Rated D.

10-4...I've had the Pro-Comp MT's (sweet tread)...but i really like those Discovery tires. I looked them up on-line after posting that comment. If you get good wear out of those I think that may be my next tire! Thanks for the info and again, stack looks sweet. Would love to put one on my truck if I didn't think the wife would divorce me! later
