It was a portable Dyno Dynamics double roller. It was at a dyno day/ truck pull in 03.... I dont know where the shop was based out of though.

Dang...looks like I'm still on the lookout

Maybe I can rig something up to hook it to our PTO dyno Redneck engineering type of thing

If you contact Wesley Wade @ Raw Diesel performance I believed he organized the event. He could probably get you the info on who owns that dyno.

Well, I've never made over 45psi on the rollers with my twins...While on the track I can get over 80psi easily. I've dynoed on Dave Dunbar's Dynojet and on a Mustang and neither one provided the traction or load my truck needs to get boost.....the torque and Hp ramp is vertical gets to 500hp going straight up....tires break loose boost drops like a stone and that's all she wrote. Check out the dyno graph in my gallery. If I can break the tires loose on every shift for 150feet or more in 4wd on a drag strip what are the chances of sticking to a curved steel roller. The only luck I've heard of with high torque, high Hp trucks is letting the air out of the rears.Strapping the truck down and inflating the tires till they are 50psi. Very hard on tires and lots of friction loss on the rollers. I gained 50hp on the dyno by filling my 125 gallon tank with fuel for ballast. I think duallies are harder to get traction with on the track and the dyno unless you're running very low tire pressures or slicks. Having a good functioning LSD is a must to get good numbers in my mind. I'm not disappointed with my dyno numbers because I don't really give a hoot. If the dyno was my event I'd set up the truck to be a dyno monster. For me it is just ....for now....a tuning tool. Tires, inflation, traction, the shape of your actual torque curve, and lots of other factors influence how well you will do on the dyno. All in all results are only comparable on one dyno and one truck. ks

the tires were hot and stinkin, but that's just a part of it, TQ like that isn't going to hook on any dyno!

GWOODY--- I'll be at the pull, unless something terrible happens!

DYNO or not, these numbers will be proven on the pullin track! I'm not a person to brag on dyno stats, I'm a guy who puts it to the ground and smokes abunch of unsuspecting people! Just ask anybody who I drag race against... I'll see you all next year, when I'm last on the dyno scale, and 1st in sledpulling!!!!!!!

I think David Dunbar has said it, and I agree 100%... if you can make boost and spool well on his dyno then your truck will spool well and run great on the street. I make about 58 psi on the street and see 55-56 psi on the three jets I run on (one being Dave's). My truck won't spin the tires in 4wd going into any gear nor will it spin them on a dyno (it's weak), but when used as a tuning tool it certainly makes the truck run better and maximizes the performance from the mods you have.

I agree!!

I make 51 lbs on #2 on the strip and made 48 lbs on Davids dyno. 58 lbs on nitrous and 52 lbs on the dyno. I think the discrepecy there is just the fact that it spins it up too fast

They are fun to run events on where everyone can get compared to one another at that event. You certainly cant take event numbers from one dyno and compare them to the event numbers form another though.

Don~
Note that even with 508hp I was 2nd overall, so we all had the same load and should end up in the same order if we all attended a different dyno together...

I did speak with mark about the load and he said that load was determined to net the best numbers... He also noted my clutch let go twice and then I turned down the TST to 5/2 (from the usual 6/5) - Had I been able to hold the higher setting to the ground who knows what the HP would have been.

If I get back to TST though, I will absolutely want to dyno at 4mph per second just so I know for sure a lighter load does not more HP

Note - I saw 37lbs on the dyno, then pulled off and right on to the street and made 45 lns and held it... I guess that load was a bit much for the clutch

NEW Load Dyno coming to St. Louis

MCS Midwest Performance Diesel is opening a new shop and will have a NEW Mustang Load Dyno (Model MD1100). It will have capacity for 1100hp and 2000 lb ft tq. Also it will be wide enough for duallys. Keith expects the shop to be open in early Novemeber and is shooting for a dyno event in December with many of us having some days off to burn. It will be located at the Gray Summit Exit which is just west of the Six Flags Exit on I-44. The shop is located on the SE corner of the intersection at the exit and about a block off the outer road. Ya'll Come,... if you can.

First Awesome numbers!

Second Mcrat racing stock LLY engine with a bigger turbo and EFI Live.
659rwhp 1315rwtq. Still together. Much more than that will take a built motor as the rods will be hating ya'.
