A few questions about Quadzilla 100hp box

My 05 has the stock exhaust and intake(ecept for intake baffles, silencer ring removal and bottom 4" cold air dryer vent mod).
Will this box still make the max 100hp?
Also if it has to go to the dealer can I remove everything without them knowing I had a box on it?
One more question. Will this make a bit more smoke in all settings?
Thanks
Jon

I think the box is tested to make that with stock intake, I could be wrong, Quad should chime in sometime this week. I should also make more smoke (at least in the highest setting) unless you put a higher flow airfilter on it. You can remove everything in less than 10 minutes when you learn where everything is. The switch is the hardest thing to remove if you mount it.

I have this box on my '06 with stock intake and MBRP muffler. I haven't dynoed the truck but it definately makes a lot of power. Its not a big smoker (good for me - I don't want to see any smoke) but it does belch out a black cloud if you drop the hammer, especially after babying it for a while.

The advertised 100hp gain is on a stock vehicle. By adding an intake and exhaust you will compliment that and make more power than the 100 advertised horsepower. How much depdends on a slew of things!

I have seen others ask but I don't think I have seen a reply to the question of- Is the Quad on an 06 detectable to the dealer if removed prior to taking the vehicle in for any service?

On the quadzilla web page it says rail pressure is keep at a safe level. I don’t know a lot about diesel and trying to learn but I have seen on here that increased rail pressure in bad. So I was just wondering what a safe level is. Thanks for the help.

The factory limiting valve is set at 26,8xx psi. Pretty much anything under 26.5K is safe as long as it does not go there and stay there forever!

The factory will run the newer trucks in the low 24K range. Our module will run up to the 26K mark at various times but at WOT we usually stay in the 25.5K range.

Pressure it not a bad thing. Yes if done incorrectly it could do something to an injector. However that is no different than stretching the pulse incoorectly or screwing up the timing circuit. You can flat hurt the engine if you stick a solenoid open or if the timing gets out of whack.

Hello, PTgarcia
Were driving identical trucks. I'm on the fence about the race quadzilla or the standard version. It's not a money thing, just function. I pull a 8k toy hauler occasionally but mostly it's just an empty truck. I'm looking for mo'go with the least hassles. Any regrets not going with the "race" version?

Thanks.....WM

No, no regrets. I usually have the box set at the 60 hp setting anyway. I'm too chicken to run it on 100 h.p. too often because I'm too broke to spend $5000 on a broken tranny! The standard give me plenty of go while minimizing the trouble I can get myself into!

Just so you know, you can upgrade to the Race version from the Standard version anytime you want. It will only cost you the difference in price. If the Standard is not enough or you add supporting mods later you can always upgrade it.

I tow heavy and the std box fits me great. I originally had a "race" box as I got caught up in the "bigger, badder, better craze". I downgraded as about the only setting I used on the "race" was the 60 HP. I used the 140 setting only a couple of times for a gee whiz what will this do. If you are interested in a "race" quad box pm me.

I've got the Race box and unloaded the 60hp setting is nice for just driving around, but while towing I can pull the fuel pressure down to unsafe levels real quick even on the 60hp setting so I tow with it off. I will be upgrading this fuel system in the near future (Glacier kit most likely). My stock LP works, but I think it is a bit weak.
