Question Fender Flares

Im wondering who has installed aftermarket fender flares on their truck, and what brands. Second question is, after they installed them did they quit throwing crap up the side of the truck clear to the mirrors? I live in upstate NY, and im getting tired of the tires throwing road salt up the door windows, and am looking at Bushwacker pocket flares. I just want to make sure they will do what I want seeing how they are 450 a set! Pics would be appreciated too, especially if you have an 06.

Mine are the Bushwhacker Extend a flares....larger than OEM but not as big as the ones that require you to cut fenders and have exposed bolts. Huge difference on items thrown up side and still look good i think.....more pics in my album but here is one:

I have the Bushwhacker OEM Type Flares. I not sure if they are as wide or wider than the pocket flares. I like them, good fit and easy to install. Here's a couple of pics -

hey Luvnacumns, how do those mount, those are the ones im looking at getting. Also, did you have to relocate the "C" emblems when you put them on?

Did you buy the prepainted ones, or have them painted?

Here are some shots I just went out and took. These are pocket style Bushwackers. I did have them painted once I recieved them. They do a good job keeping rocks, road tar, and mud off sides of truck, but with road salt alot of that is carried there with the tires throwing it out around flares and wind pushing it back to truck.

I see you have an 06 too, how do they mount, and did you have to relocate the cummins emblem for installation? Also, how ugly are they if you just leave them black since I think the black would contrast with my truck nicely instead of painting them the same color?

I did have to move the emblem but could put it back with 3M tape. The fronts mount with the 3 existing screw under fender. THe back's are mounted with 3 existing screws and two others you have to put in but no drilling or dutting anything really straight forward. Check my gallery for how they look with stock tires on they look a little out of place but not to bad.

Well i plan on putting bigger tires on mine, but im looking for coverage from road crap, and a more aggressive look too. I like your wheels though! do you think they would look ok installed without being painted??

Try this link. I gave $165 for my generic brand on ebay. My dad has Bushwackers and he gave $450. Mine look identicle to his. They definately help keep crap off the paint.Fender Flares-dsc00376.jpg
