I will have to try and find the threads, I have heard of atleast 2 FASS pumps fail. I also dont like how everyone says they are so loud, and they get really hot. I was all about FASS till I started reading as much as I could about them.

I have a 150 FASS on order with plans of adding a quad race box for now. Im not familiar w/that walbro pump at all but i do know i had a FASS 95 on my old 2nd gen and the dirt and water it pulled out is well worth the money. I have heard of a few issues with them but DPP has never given any trouble replacing what needed to be replaced in a very timely maner and Diesel_Dan is always around the site and have never seen him run from any problems that come up.

What kind of problems? I know that none of my customers have had any issues but I'd be happy to help these others out if I can.

Should have the beta's ready to ship by Wednesday. Hopefully the beta testers will get back to me asap with feedback so that I can make any adjustments to the instructions that they recommend.

Back to your regularly scheduled lift pump thread.

I don't think you can just say that "I've read somewhere that FASS pumps are failing" and not be able to back it up. I would like to know what is going on there.

Your welcome. Well, depends. You may have good luck, as some still run the stock LP and have no probelms. My buddy has had his Power Pup (runs it on Performance 95% of the time, and sometimes on Extreme) He runs the stock LP, no problems. But, I am going to replace mine once I get my BDPP which is on the way. Would rather be safe then sorry...

Gypsyman, I was not referring to the setup that you sell. I had seen some people just trying to use utilize the Walbro pump into their system. I too don't have a particular instance that I can give you so I'm no better than the FASS basher!!
All I was trying to say was that maybe there were one or two FASS pumps that had problems but that is to be expected with any setup out there including Holley, Walbro, etc.... Can we still be friends?????

You're kidding right? I read these threads and one guy says his was junk and you should get the Glacier kit. There weren't any problems in the other threads you listed other than install problems and people taking thier stuff apart trying to "fix it" and make it better.

If one system has to be bashed in order to sell a different system then that is the worst marketing strategy there is. If you believe you have found the best system then go for it but don't just blindly bash another system because you didn't buy it.

I'm sure the Walbro is a great pump. Galcier, I hope you realize I don't have anything against your kit at all. It looks to me like you put a good kit together and it should sell well.

man, just a thought, but none of those guys work at Glacier or sell them. They were talking about their expiriences with them. The 150 is supposed to be loud too.

I know they don't work for Glacier. The point was if you have justified it in your head you don't need to convince everyone else, just buy it. They were bashing the other obvious choice to make their choice seem better to everyone else is how I look at it.

I don't know about the 150 and being loud. I installed mine on a bed rail just to the front of the filler neck where the install instructions said and I can't hear it in the cab or feel it. My Carter was a different story though I could feel and hear it in the cab.

I didn't mean to offend you so I hope we're cool. I just thought if you knew something none of us did then you should share your experience with us. It's all about educating each other with the facts.

No, its cool. I'd rather learn from others mistakes instead of making my own.
