I recently ordered a stainless exhaust manifold from The Fab Shop, should be here sometime this week. http://www.fabshopheaders.com/ It's under diesel products at the bottom, don't have the complete link handy.

I chose them because they have an excellent track record in header manufacturing for pullin' tractors, pullin' trucks and other racing applications. Their header is built to endure the likes of stuff that I will never put my truck through. Too many complaints about fit and defects from too many people on a variety of diesel websites about all the different more popular aftermarket headers that are commonly used on our trucks, and too many complaints about poor customer service and warranty issues as well. Thought I'd go somewhere different, seek a product outside the regular ones being used, and with a more reputable company.

I am running the HTT ss Exhaust Manifold, it fit great and I had no problems getting a hold of HTT when I had a question (on a Sat no less). I had the header ceramic coated by Jet Hot. My EGT's drop real quick when I let off the skinny pedal or just sitting at a light, running around town in 90* heat I am seeing about 550* to 600*.

That's a nice looking header. I am curious as to why they have 2 ports to the back half and 4 to the front? What did you use for bolts/studs?

How about the bungs. I realize that the 6th cylinder is the best one to monitor, but why is there a bung at 3 and 4 as well?

I have not yet received the header, it should arrive later this week. The header comes with bolts/hardware and gasket set. Has 3 ports, 1 located at the 5/6 cyls and two up at the 3/4 cyls. Some people who race use 2 EGT probes, the other extra probe usually gets hooked up for drive pressure.

I have an ATS that I'm pretty happy with. Fit and finish was great, helped with EGT's a bit. No noticeable power gain, but I didn't really expect one either. I don't know what high-temp black paint ATS uses, but after a year, my manifold is still black...

Yeah pretty close those approx $ numbers, the gaskets alone where 50 bucks, + S&H for the best. + S&H to Jet Hot to and from and double coating... If I remember the shipping for Jet Hot was like 70 bucks.
