I just picked up my 06 truck yesterday. My 24V (see sig) is slightly bombed. I have made the decision (or at least tried to convince myself) to leave my 06 truck virtually *cough* stock. My only plans are spring blocks, 35s, window tint, exhaust and an AFE. This is my question. I want my truck to sound as good as my straight piped 24v, I have no idea how the aftermarket mufflers sound, so should I just hack out the cat and muffler and add a piece of pipe? I am planning to ask my dealer about warranty issues with a straight pipe, but I really want the straight pipe sound of my 24V.
