which exhaust to buy
Aluminized is basic steel exhaust dipped in aluminum silicon alloy. Yes it will last longer than a basic steel exhaust, but the smallest scratch will rust immediately.
T-304 and T-409 are in fact stainless and stainless is an alloy. T-304 is a much better grade than T-409. T-304 has 18 to 20 percent chromium and 8 to 10 percent nickel. The higher nickel content is what gives it a shinier look. T-409 has 10.50 to 11.75 percent chromium in it and only 0.50 percent nickel. That is why it looks golden dull. A magnet will not stick to T-304 but will stick to T-409.

I was looking at the 5" through summit becuase I didnt know if I was going to need to replace the cat that was missing from factory. Good news is I wont have to replace the cat got truck inspected today without it. But I am still looking at the 5" just because little over 300.00 for a 5" turbo back isnt bad not to mention that 250.00 for a 5" cat through summit for a magna flow isnt that hard to swallow neither. Might just get it and keep it on hand just in case. But I am going with that 5" turbo back system once I get some extra coin. Just got the truck a year ago and the guy before me pieced together a 4" turbo back system. It works but bugs the crap outta me.
