Exhaust?!?!
A question i have is how do you get these trucks to have a similar tone to an old 12 valve truck. I know that you'll never get it to sound like one exactly but I would really love to hear the real deep non raspy exhaust sound from my truck. I hate the way mine sounds right now.
I have the 304 Silverline 5'' on my 06.. On the CR's, I've tried the straight piped 4'' on my 05 dually. It was like that for a very short time. It sounded very raspy.. It was loud, but not in a good way. I then threw on a 4'' walker straight through muffler from NAPA, and it has a decent sound with a loud whistle sound. Here's a link.. I really like the sound of the 5'' straight on the 06. It does have twins on it, so they muffle the sound a lot.. If you scroll down to the bottom of the page on this next link to the heads up division, click on the dark red truck racing the black and silver truck. It's hard to tell the sound though because of the great sounding 12 valve next to it..

I want to go the 5” route, but I’m stuck on the SS vs. aluminized system. I have always been a SS or nothing kind of guy. But, the MBRP system is only available in aluminized tubing. I know it shouldn’t be much of an issue, especially living in CA, no snow/salt etc. Am I missing something? Does it really matter? I really want to stay with MBRP. So, what do you guys think?

I am looking at silverline mbrp and magnaflow all 3. I have read and heard that either mbrp or magnaflow one has it setup where the muffler actually necks down to 4" and I do not want that... I want 5" from turbo back with muffler and either a 5-6 slash tip or 5-5, 5-6 turndown. anyone know anything about this??
