exhaust ???
well i want to get a new exhaust and get rid of the factory one and was curious as to what ya'll think is the best one for performance. there's so many out there that i have no clue to which one to get. what im trying to do is just let the truck breath a little better so i can get a little more pulling power. oh and how about cold air intakes as well thanks alot for any input on this in advance.

Exhaust systems.....Well you get several opinions on this subject. Some like the MBRP systems.....http://www.mbrp.com/
I have heard several people who were happy with the systems they purchased from Source Automotive....http://www.sourceautomotive.biz/
And then you have people like me who like to save a few dollars and do a custom job. What I did was replace the factory 3 1/2" elbow & downpipe with a true 4" one. Purchase a section of 4" pipe (either aluminum or stainless) and some ban clamps and reuse the factory tailpipe. Put it all together and run a 4" straight piped system. I also have a 6" tip on the end to deepen the tone a little. Of course if you like, then you could always purchase an aftermarket muffler & stick that in there to quiet things down a little. My entire system only cost me $150 bucks.....So I saved about $150 by doing it myself with piecing it together.
Intakes......Again it all depends on who you speak with. Several out on the market now for the 3rd Gens. I personally removed the factory airbox, inlet tube & silencer ring, purchased an AEM Dry Flow filter for $45.00 and used a 4" piece of exhaust pipe (90 degree bend) and fabbed up my own custom intake system. Sounds sweet....Nice turbo whistle....and all for $45.00
