Alright I am ready to pull the trigger and buy 22.5s and shut up about it. But I called 10+ tire shops/ lift kit truck specialty shops ETC, and no one will balance 22.5s. One company will do it but it is Equal balancing all the way around with either liquid or powder. I seem to remember this is an ok method but not the best. Anyone have any opinions, Im at my whitts end. I had no clue it would be this hard to find someone to balance tires. What happend to lead weights on the inside?
I would hate to buy them and have them run horrible .

Someone help me or shoot me before my wife does shes tired of hearing about it

 

I have run equal in my 35 toyos for 20000 miles now and never had to balance them. Smoothest tires ive ever had with no chopping or vibration to speak of. Id recommend it. Just my .02

 

You can't get it done at a truck (big rig) shop?

 

I have no clue where one is, I called a commercial tire place (big rig and emergency service) and they treated me like a retard, and didnt want to get involved. I think they thought I was puttin chrome 30's on a H2 and didnt want to take the liability and scratch them. .

 

You should be able to find one near I-95.

FWIW, I ran Centramatics with 19.5's on my old Pstroke. Worked very well.

Maybe a combination of Equal and a set of Centramatics

 

My Ford in my sig has 35/14.5/16 SuperSwamper Boggers that are liquid balanced. Do they ride great and vibration free?....HECK NO. The liquid balancing is probably fine, its the tires that suck. Actually, they smooth out at 50 mph. They feel like they have flat spots after sitting for a couple days. Could be the tires on that matter though too.

 

I have never run em but I would consider centramatics. If you are not completely satified then maybe try the equal. JMO

I'm running the centramatics and love them. Incredibly smooth and my tires still have close to half tread on them and they've got 40k+ miles on them.

 

Guess I should add: I'm also running the Centramatics on my current setup as well. They run great and you don't have any tire cupping from lack of rotation. (I don't rotate very often).

 

Where did you guys get your centeramatics from. I remeber there was post a while back of a guy selling them for around 40 bucks.

 

I got mine off Ebay. $185 delivered. Money well spent.
