Any trouble codes? I would guess you need a new Front Control Module. Do a search for Dome Lights. I do not remember if anybody ever solve the problem with out having to replace the FCM, ECM, or Instrument Cluster.

THXS skim key code showed up ,cleared it no difference. When i turn on the headlight switch any interior lighting will dim and the overhead display goes right off.wondering if a short in the trailer might have affected the trucks electrical system.

Could be. Our wiring is so messed up on these trucks that it is a wonder they even work half the time. I have an Inter-mitten brake light on with key off draw, which I believe is due to the Brake Controller.

A lot of times, when I see the skim key code, batteries are my first shot. Check both of them, make sure the connections are good, including the grounds going to the block.

After that, I'd start looking at the instrument cluster.
