yep I did just get the truck! Changed the fuel filter. no difference.

oh yeah...also clean the air filter and checked for boost leaks...didn't find anything. Only thing that I didn't do while testing for leaks was jump in the cab to see what my gauge was reading.

 

Well, I discovered my problem. I called Autometer and was quickly informed that I have a new style of pyrometer probe and gauge that isn't as fast to respond as the old version. Autometer is currently going back to the old style of probe/gauge design because this new version seems to be junk. I have to send my pyrometer back in to them for replacement, but it will be replaced with a new gauge, one using the old style of probe and electronics. Gotta love bugs in brand new products!
