I have a 04.5 600 and have a Edge EZ, I am installing a egt and want to Know where most of you guys are placing the probe- before the turbo or after? I am thinking after the turbo beause if the tip of the probe breaks it will not go through the turbo....... What do you guys think. Joel

 

I believe the concensus is pre-turbo. The danger temps after the turbo are only guestimations. If you read the pre-turbo temp, you are getting a true temp from your cylinders. There's really no worry about the probe breaking off and going into the turbo...I'm sure there's always the remote possibility, but I have never heard of one going through the turbo. I'm about to move my probe to pre-turbo.
