egt probe in manifold top of manifold or down by turbo egt difference?

egt probe in manifold top of manifold or down by turbo egt difference?
what is the egt difference from the top of the manifold like bby cylinder 3 or down right by the turbo in egts? just wondering because i couldnt get my one from down by the turbo out and i rounded the plug that i had in there so i put it in the top. thanks
