Edge vs Smarty

I have an 05 auto currently with an Edge Juice with attitude and mp-8. I have a chance to sell the Edge and then get a Smarty. I know Smarty is the favorite on DTR. I was wondering if this would be worth doing or not? I was wondering if anyone has some personal experience with this? Thanks

well ive had both and theres pros and cons for both.

edge pros
on the fly level change
attitude moniter
turbo timer
built in safetys

edge cons
Runs way to high EGT's
less hp then other turners
level 6 costs u more $ to unlock

Smarty pros
Incredible power
upgradable for free
better milage gains
Safe Egt's even Cranked up
reads and clears codes

Smarty cons
No turbo timer
requires gauges

i run the smarty on my new truck and Love love love it! the power is incredible! still considering downloading the TnT-R software

for towing i think the edge wins for all out kick your butt performance i think the smarty is the best thing there is IMO!

Yea if you do you'd need to be willing to get gauges of some sort. I love the Smarty on my truck. But I use older programs too. EGTs will be the main difference you will notice, as said the edge is known to run hot. Power delivery will be a bit smoother as well.

I had the edge on my 05 and it was great because I didn't have to buy any gauges and it came with a turbo timer. Once I got my 06 I tried the smarty and will never go back. Smarty seems to run a lot better and I like being able to adjust everything on the smarty. Both are great but I prefer smarty with TNT.

Check out the vid for the proof... same mods on the truck, only difference was the programmer.

The edge is not a bad box, but the smarty was a lot better for me.

I like my Edge, but I am not thrilled by its performance even with the hot unlock. I am eager to try the smarty. Although I intended to keep the edge and run the smarty without timing. I can still play with the edge still
