Edge Question
Edge Question
Just had my dealer install my edge attitude w/juice and pacbrake this weekend. The pacbrake is way cool. It really warms the cummins up in the morning. Anyway I have the edge mounted on the A-piller and is a lot of fun to watch. If I am driving down the Hwy at a constant speed and no load, what happens if you switch from say level 1 to level 3? What is the best setting for milage 0 or 1 and not sure what the low boost setting does? Blow smoke? If you are blowing smoke aren't you just wasting fuel. I bought the edge for the gauges but I do tow a 6500lb camper. The turbo timer is a great feature, it is so cool to walk away from the truck and have it turn itself off. TIA
This is how I would set my Juice if I had one. I did have a Juice/Attitude on my 04.5:
Level/Low Boost Fueling
Level 1/2 (trying to get best mileage)
Level 2/3 (Little extra fuel on takeoffs w/ trailer)
Level 3/5 (To smoke the freak that has been tailgating me between stoplights)
Level 0 is stock settings, so your mileage would be the same. Level 1 is supposed to be the most fuel efficient setting and level 2 is the tow setting. At constant throttle (cruise set), there is a minimal effect on fuel economy between level 1 and 2. As you change the settings, you will see that it displays "mileage" on level 1, "tow" on level two, and so on.
You can switch levels at anytime. If you switch while you are accelerating, you can definitely feel the difference in power settings.
Or so I here....
