Okay, bought the chip off Craigslist (way cheaper lol) plugged it in no worries ran with it for maybe 1 day and a half then, the pickup died. Lost fuel. The injectors just got replaced with 325 instead of stock, so they are capable of consuming the chip the tranny is upped for pullin power(we travel with the LQ horse trailer a lot) the guy we bought the chip from said he just got it back from edge and he paid for the hot unlock(well it ain't there, oh well) but back to the chip.. The chip freezes.. And right now it's bouncing between stages 0 & 1 I haven't touched it. The noises (clanks) the injectors make as they're goin out is now happening also. How in the world can this all be happening? I understand the chip is connected to the injectors, (the box did over heat, to the point of too hot to touch). But can anyone please help? Or give me an idea for a better chip. I'm good with technical stuff, but with it involving everything it does I don't wanna mess with it.

Get it off the truck and see how the truck responds. What year is the truck? If you really want the Edge your going to have to send it in and have it checked out, call them up with all the info and see what the Tech line says. But for now get it off the truck and keep it off.

 

I agree with RyeThomas remove box. I wouldn't run truck any more with it on, my edge never gets hot maybe close to under hood temp at most if that. Sounds like something inside maybe shorting out or something is wired incorrectly. check for shorted out wires too. Contact Edge their customer service was great when I was having a small issue with mine.
