i just put it on my 04 and wanted some in put on what is a safe boost pressure? How can i get more smoke?

 

set your boost limit as high as it will go. That will put you around 42-45psi if you have the hot upgrade but the attitude will only read 41-42 because that's the limit of the factory boost sensor. As far as having as much smoke as possible, get the Hot unlock if you don't have it. Also, go into the menu and set the low boost fueling to 5 on which ever levels you want, they are defaulted to level 1.

 

What is the hot unlock code and how do you get it?

 

You have to send the unit into edge and they change your power ratings for each level, giving you anywhere form 50-80 additional hp on top of the 100hp top setting of the standard juice depending on what year of truck you have. If you have an 04.5 with the 325/600 engine, your level 5 would be 180hp instead of 100hp. It costs $100 and will be the best $100 you ever spent - believe me. So your power levels would be 40,60,80,100,180.

 

i hope i am not hijacking the thread .. but do you have to contact edge before sending your J/A into them ?? and also do you have to send the monitor also or just the box ??? also i heard somewhere that they can add or they do add the turbo timer option onto the box ... any truth to that ??

gotta call for an RMA and verify your build date and serial #. when I sent mine in for an update it was just the box.

I bought one for my 07 and it already had the turbo timer on it and all you have to do for the hot unlock is put in a code after you call them and pay them $100, maybe if you buy a new box from them it will have these options as well, I dont see why they would just do it for the 07's? I could be wrong though

 

That's only on the 06 and up. For the rest of us, we have to send it in.
