Edge Hot program

Is the stock turbo up to handling the extra juice that the Hot program throws at it? I think when I get the fianances I will probally get the II SPS6280 or A3K from ATS to upgrade into twins later. So can anyone tell me what HP numbers I might be at with stock turbo with my current setup and what it might be with the upgraded turbo? Transmission will be full HTS in a week so no concern there.

Right now I'd say 440 or so. Get that HOT upgrade and probably 480-490 and then the turbo should set you at 500. You are talking the same set up I dynoed with a couple months ago - see sig below.

Did you dyno yours with out the Floor-it Cp3 first then with it? Will I run out of fuel with the stock system or is that reserved for the wilder programers/boxes. I only have a few months to play before leaving again so I want a somewhat reliable truck to play with until then when it gets upgraded alot when I get home.

Never dynoed without the cp3. The HOT Juice will pull the rail pressure down some but not low enough to loose much or worry about. It won't even come close to draining the rail. You should be fine. Now if you start adding pressure on top of the HOT, you will definetly need a lift pump and have more of a need for a cp3, but could still run with the stock cp3. I ran mine with the stock cp3 for quite a while.

With the HOT Juice on 5 and the mp-8 on 60% it will hold 20k. When I download the Predator, the three together pull it down to 17-18k. I'm going down to John's on Sunday and he is going to do a couple more things he has figured out to do without going to a full stage 2. He referred to it as a 1.5 and is hoping it will keep me up above 20k with the Predator downloaded.

Great info with the upgraded Cp3 so can anyone tell me if the stock turbo can cool enough to support the Hot program for a few dyno runs and very limited playing on the street?

Yes. It doesn't get that hot unless you stack a pressure box as well. I don't think I ever saw 1400 with just the HOT Juice.

I'm hitting 27k even with the Predator in the mix, it just drops down more than without it. John said that 17-18k still isn't bad, but it would be better if it would maintain 20k.

Man I need to get a new clutch so I can use Lvl 5 and stack a pressure box. My clutch is NOT happy with even the HOT setting.

With just my Standard program I hit 1450 in 3rd with lockup then drops to around 1200 then back up to 1450 by 2500rpm. I am a little concerned then because I get the hotter temps already. I guess I will try the Hot and forget about it unles I can control myself . Then again I can't really say I have any control with this.

How much boost are you getting when you hit those temps? I can hit 42psi with my stock turbo and my temps stay mostly in check (~1200 - 1300). This is on level 4 though, since I can't really utilize Level 5 yet.

YA Well I was pulling the rail down to 13k-15k, with hot stacked with ez #3.

Pulled the pump and went for a floor it stage 2. We will see how things improve.
The hottest I've encountered has been 1250f full guns so hopefully I can tow on a low setting and keep my temps in check??
If not I'm not going to waste my bread on a intercooler or other cooling decices just go with a good set of twins!
