I had the hot upgrade a while back. It ads power, but it runs really hot EGT's. If you are getting above 1400 now easilly, I would not get the hot option, you will not be able to use it with out melting something.

My turbo could not keep the EGT's down. I did an edge vs smarty vid a while back, if you search for it, you can watch my EGT's go up like a rocket.

After having mine for nearly 5years, I just got mine back with the latest software revision and the "Hot" tune. Haven't had time to install and play yet........will have a report tomorrow though.

I also got it, I like it, you can def. feel the power difference, Edge told me it was 175 hp setting, only bad thing , it tore my TC up fast. And real bad EGT's. Keep an eye on them

Yup! You guys were right on all accounts. On fuel only, Egt's are a little warm, got to about 1530* or so; for a while, before slowly dropping (I do have a bit of a boost leak though). I need to adjust my wastegate anyways, so looks like I'll be doing that also. Nitrous kept them below that for a bit longer, but still got above 1500* for a few seconds. As for the power, to me it actually feels stronger throughout the power-band than it did before when running the Diablo/Edge (standard) stacked.

Be very mindful of the egt's on the attitude monitor, THEY ARE SLOW TO RISE...

I put ISSPRO gauges on the truck. and with the edge monitor I would get to around 1350 degrees by 90mph.
and with the ISSPRO's I was at 1500 by 90mph.

The boost numbers were also slower, I guess it was the time it took for it to convert the analog signal to digital..

Edge temps do get HOT.

well since the HOT unlock is only $100 I say try it. you can always turn it down. Maybe it will be cooler on your rig than mine. BUT get a proper set of gauges.

Man, that BD should be giving you a lot of power... Heck, I'd get rid of the edge. That BD should be putting out more power than you can handle.

Next is a turbo/twins... You can do a stocker/s400, or go for a bigger set...
Head studs, injectors, springs, CP3... How deep is your pocket?

I agree with Madhat on this one. For an easy c-note, can't hurt anything to try, and like he said and what I do, just turn it down if it's too much. But, seeing how you have a DD southbend in your tranny, you shouldn't have to worry about that part. Your turbo is a different story. But I guess you have been running your Edge and Triple Dog stacked together I take it. Can't imagine the Hot Juice alone would be any worse.
