been looking at SRT10 hoods and stumbled across a few cheap fiberglass reproductions. Has anyone on here bought one or heard of anyone that has one?

 

i would sat away from them, they do not fit well plus the quality is not so great. i would stay with the Mopar SRT10 hood. it is more money but it will fit

 

fiberglass chips bad after it is painted too.....

 

Fiberglass will require block sanding and more paint work to get it to look as good as a steel hood. They are never flat and smooth. It most likely won't fit well either. I don't think you will save anything in the end.

 

thanks guys looks like ill be saving for a OEM steel srt10 hood. did stumble across a reflexxions steel cowl hood any opinions on these?

 

I bought a 'glass hood from ebay -unque something or other ( located in CA)and mine fits pretty well. Yes it'll take some more work than a steel hood, but I do my own body/paint work so it saved money for me. I also bought the srt bumper cover, now that took some work to mount it, but I got it on and it fits pretty well also.

The finish was pretty good since it's basically a hybrid 'glass/plastic mixture..of cource it just came out of a mold and needs tlc.

Depends on what kind of paint you/shop use...have to put a flex agent in the paint.
