Question for all you with SRT10 hoods....

Do you guys still use the factory bugshield or do most of you just go without it? I finally got my hood painted and installed last night and I'm not sure which way to go. I have the chrome grill and can either go with no shield, go with my chrome one, or I also have a green one. I'm leaning towards going with none or with the green one...

Pics coming later after I wash the truck...

I put the green one on for now. I kind of like it without any bugshield too. Here it is now...

Hmmm, does anyone make a ram air kit to make the scoop functional? Mine will be paid off in a few months and I wanna get something for the truck to celebrate. Hood, trans or shell, hmmm............

If it were me I would get the 03-04 laramie grille that had the painted outer shell with chrome crosshairs and the bugshield to match. I think it looks slick with the bugshield.

And one more thing, I really like how you used the non-fog shields for your fog lights. Might have to bum an idea off of you on that one

LOL! It wasn't my idea. I stole it from someone else but it works. Go ahead and do it...

I'd love to get a Laramie grill but they are hard to find. I have found a place online that sells them though but they are pretty expensive. That's why I was going to use a regular painted grill which has the crosshairs painted too. I tried painting it with spraycans and you should see what it looks like now after the paint guy tried to get the old paint off!!! It may have to go into the trash. Either that or it's gonna take a lot of elbow grease to strip it....

I think the green shield may be going back on. The chrome shield definitely makes it too much chrome up front. I think that if I go without any shield at all then there needs to be some more green in the grill.

Stay tuned......

And I see that Timberline Green is available again too but I still have not seen one truck that color. I guess everybody likes green but nobody wants their truck this color...
