Eagle rims that dont fit

I put leveling springs on and had some 17x10 eagle 194 rims and 315x70-17 bfg tires mounted. The rims dont fit over the brake calipers. I had the grinder out because the fronts werent too bad, before I started I thought I should check the rears, not even close. I ordered some 17x10 eagle 114 that they said will fit. Will find out tomorrow. This is just a warning for those looking for rims. ,06 QC SB.

Yes.
Many "cast aluminum" rims are too thick.

Forged aluminum rims should fit, as the material is thinner.

Personally, I wouldn't put cast rims on these heavy beasts, stick with forged or steel.

This is interesting because I have the exact same setup with the 195 wheels on my truck with no fitment problems and they are the same wheels with a different design around the outer edge. I am not sure how much clearance mine have, but I will check. It almost sounds like they sent you 16.5" wheels. I had tried 16.5's from another truck and it was exactly as you described just barely rubbing the front calipers, but I didn't try the back wheels.

I hate to tell you this part though, I started with the 114's 17X10's and how they looked oh so good the offset was to big with just a leveling kit and the tires would hit the front fender when turning so I had to get the 195's.

Good Luck!!

I got curious and went to look at mine and there is probably only about 1/16" clearance once the weights come around on the front wheel

I got the 114s in and they fit with plenty of room. I checked the back of the 194s and they said 17x10 they just had a weird jog inside the rim. The 114 and 315 tires rubbed but I trimmed the fender now they only hit when cranked and hit a bump.

I wanted the 114's but they hit the metal part of the fender closest to the driver when I turned so there wasn't anyway they were going to work.

how far do the eagle 114 17x10's stick out past the fender. i have been thinking of getting a set,i have a 4.5" lift and bushwacker fender flares. wondered if they would still be covered with an aggressive tire?
