D.wiggs the only thing you got different then me motor wise not talking about juice is fire ringed head and twins but everything else is matched up. I dont want twins. You might spool up faster but im not going for take off speed I have a dually. Once im rolling watch out.

I don't understand why you don't want twins. They are better in every aspect than a single. I didn't realize how close our trucks were. You are right about the only differences except I have flux 3.3s.

What are Flux 3.3's and the only thing that your twins do is spool up faster. My silver Bullet will handle around 850+rwhp so unless I get 300hp injectors I think my turbo will push plenty enough air. Is your truck a daily driver. What is the difference than my flux 3 175hp.

850rwhp? With NOS. Dont expect any single turbo to live a long life driving around town with 850rwhp.

Who said I was going to have that much HP. All I was trying to prove is Everyone brags about twins so much when the only real advantage is faster spool up. A buddy of mine has them and is not that impressed. He likes his buddys SPS66 better. My Silver Bullet 66 will probably move just as much air befor spray than twins and provide just as much Hp as long as fuel is adequate. But I wont be able to beat twins in a race. Im shooting for 750rwhp. Im sure the turbo would not last that long around town driving with 850rwhp.

Twins should not only spool faster but move a LOT more air. The analogy used is a milk carton of air for a single and a barrel of air for twins.

Flux 3.3s are just a little more fuel and power because my supporting mods can handle it.

single

why couldnt you beat twins in a race? If it was from a roll I could understand but from a stop with a boosted launch that makes for a level playing field. Theres some fast singles in the quarter!

BlackBeast,

Who did your motor work?

The best I've personally seen on #2 only was 609rwhp.

I think you will live on borrowed time with 850 hp with a single turbo and spray.

I will eventually go with twins, even though I have a Silver Bullet right now, that I am very happy with. A single turbo is good to a certain point, then twins take over and make serious power.

what do you mean by borrowed hp with single and spray. I say a video the other day some guy hit 700 on #2 without dual pumps. My mechanic is local to the area I live in.

At this time there are about 5 shops in Northern California that I would entrust to build motor such as you describe for a daily driver. All of them highly respected and well known in the diesel community.

Good luck with your project! I'll look foreward to seeing you and your truck at the next Chapter #21 Dyno day, if not at the New Years Day drags!

The analogy used is a milk carton of air for a single and a barrel of air for twins.
That analogy is not correct.

Look at Tomac he put it on NUMEROUS "twinned" trucks at the Diesel Power Challenge.

With one little single turbo (oops did I say single turbo?)

Must have been a magic turbo....

I'll agree twins are nice but dont discount the single turbo guys out there. Around here at the local pulls the singles dominate (even running against twinned trucks).

So blackbeast what mods are actually done to your truck at this point?
