Dual CP3 Dual Rail

I'm sure someone has tried this at some point in time but I'll ask anyways. Has anyone setup or seen a setup with dual cp3s and two separate rails. I'm pretty sure this could be done yeah? Just hook three up to each rail and cap off the unused ones. That would technically double your injection potential right?

I don't know about that, I do know of running two lines from dual cp3's to the one rail.

It's an interesting prospect. I'm just wondering if there would be any real world benefit though. I'm thinking that it should improve the volume potential of the injection just because all six aren't sharing the same rail. With so many injections happening so fast out of a single cylinder I'm thinking there has to be at least some benefit to separating them out.

My guess is if there was any real benefit there would be a truly oversized rail available.... I know about the extrude honed rail, and how it ups volume and hp a little. This is probably something that would be designed for 2000+ hp?

If I understand this correctly you would like to hook up one pump to one set of three injectors and one up to the other set of three injectors? If so it would be way to hard to get both pumps to run exactly equal so you would have 3 cylinders running on one amount of fuel and the other on a different amount of fuel and would be asking for trouble. I would see more benefit from running one single rail that is honed or maybe a larger rail.

If you take a line and run it between the 2 rails the pressure would be equal, plus its 2 less ports to plug. I've been thinking about doing this same thing, but I don't know were to get the fittings and the lines made.

I plan on running three cp3's with each running one line to feed two injectors. This project is in the works and isn't my project but I plan on running it on my race motor. Getting the pumps to run together correctly can be handled the same way duals are handled now. Like masonic said, the biggest problem is the plumbing and I will leave that up to someone else. Jay

Right on! The only alternative would be to have a big *** single rail with multiple CP3s feeding into it. Maybe CNCd out of a giant block of steel? The inputs would need to be evenly distributed distance wise from each other to have the right flow dynamics.

I like the idea of the multiple rails though. As for plumbing, it just needs to be the same type of plumbing as goes from the rail to the injectors. I would think finding a company that can duplicate that kind of piping would be your first step.

3 CP3s????? Why????? How much power you planning on making? 2 stockers will make 1K on fuel only.

I am going to try for the most on fuel only. I am currently looking for a motor and plan on investing big moolah, I know of someone developing a 3 cp3 setup currently. I am thinking 1300 hp. It isn't a pipedream, horsepower costs money and I am willing to invest. Jay

Yeah, I am stopping where I am at with my daily driver (800) it is setup perfect for what I use it for. I love working on and tweaking these things and have adopted this as my new time and money consuming project (much to the wife's disappointment I might add). I have some ideas that haven't been done yet and there are a couple things that should be coming to fruition in the next year or so that will make 1300-1400 possible, only problem is guys like you beating me to it!!!!!
