drop hitches...

where are ya'll getting ball mounts for 7+ inches of lift...haven't measured since the shackles, but i'm thinking i'm gonna need over 10"s of drop, and i can't seem to find anything (locally or internet) with a good weight rating.

I have an 8" drop to tow my boat and my truck is stock. Every trailer is different though, the adjustable ones are best because you can level any trailer.

Not sure how high your rear is raised, but with my 4" lift, I had 2" blocks out back, and so far a 5 1/4" drop is working just fine...(4" lift, 35s)

The only problem with longer drop hitches is less weight capacity...

Spend the money, get the rapid hitch.. its adjustable, and can be adjusted up to 10" if you get the longer shank. I love my rapid hitch.

Start with a Ranch Hand rear bumper. 'Cowboy' Model has a 10" drop and still allows 10,000 lbs with 1000 lb tongue weight! Add a drop hitch from there. Is that enough load rating for you?

gots me a 10in drop. 10,000 lb tow rating with 800 lb tongue weight rating. cost me $70 with the ball and the locking pin.
