Do The Performance Tools Really Perform?
I don't really know exactly what your looking for but I'll give it a shot...
TST/Bully Dog = EXTREMELY fun to drive... So fun I got a ticket for having it sideways a little over 50mph... Thank goodness for lawyers!
On a 750 mile trip with the tst on 1x0 and bully dog on 90hp setting the truck netted 18.75mpg hand calculated.
I think fuel milage just depends on how far you put the skinny pedal down to be honest...If you just going after fuel milage I see no point in dropping hundreds of dollars unless you want more power. In my learning experience I get around 18 (if I keep my foot out of it) no matter what setting the boxes are on. Some say they are getting close to mid 20's and they are either going off of the overhead or they can't do simple math.

Each truck runs different and each driver runs different. The best thing to do is not drive it like it's got the power. My truck gets the best mileage cruising on 100hp if I get on it on that setting (hills, hard acceleration) it can be the worst. So if I need to do most of anything other than cruise I'll try to remember to drop the power level one or two. In town empty I'll also drop it to one or two.
If fuel savings is your biggest concern I would look at the new economax...

I don't know if it is available yet or not...

Thanks guys for all of your input...I think I will do a little more research on the different options out there before I make a decision. It sounds like I may be better of just leaving it stock and keep my foot out of it.
Thanks again.
Thanks again.
