if you do it you may want to try using a 2 part epoxy on the back side of the side reflectors...this may help or stop the warped reflectors like what happened to mine.

What exactly caused the reflectors to warp?

I think it is cause the black paint absorbs all the heat when the sun hits them and they just get too hot...that my 1st guess...my second guess is some chemical reaction with the plastic and the paint or the promoter...
the reason I think it is the sun is cause the side of my truck that faces the sun most was the first to warp and the other side took a while longer.

I just got a set of '07 lights that I will be trying this on in the next month or so.

They should look good on my Mineral Gray sport(I hope)

theyre the one supporting my Cummins addiction

No I have not bothered yet...I am thinking about doing it to some 07 lights and just selling my 06's......I would fix the 06's first tho.
