Disappointing Dyno

In April I dynoed 515hp with stock turbo and stock injectors. I thought that was pretty good.
Today I dynoed 533hp with F1 1.2's, Htt 62/65/13 and MP-8.

Both using smarty 4.2.

Not sure why I did not gain more then that. I was thinking of a gain of aleast 80-100hp.

Any idea what is holding me back?

It seems it is your turbo. It just dosen't give you the top end a 71 wheel will. I beat you are disappoint. Sticks, turbo, and MP-8 only netted 18 hp. Did you overfuel the turbo? I think 4.2 does pressure already. What did the rail pressure gauge say if you have one.

What's your rail pressure? I bet the II pump mod can't keep up the pace.

Time to loose the 4.2!
You probably make less power with the Revo because it drains the rail more quickly than the 4.2.

Rail pressure stayed right at 24-25k. Even on the street the rail pressure with the mp8 will get up to 26K. The mp-8 made just a little bit more power.

No TST box in the equation? If not your probably leaving 50hp on the table.

With your mods you really need the 71 wheel, you have the fueling to get that top end increase and with what you have, spoolup will be no issue at all.

The first dyno was way to high thats where your problem is. Something wasnt right, no way you had 515HP with a stock turbo. With your injectors 533 is a little low but not to much. What was the correction factor, and whos dyno are you on? This is why my dyno is the track...

Not sure of the correction factor. The dyno is a superflow and he said that he corrects it to equal a dynojet since that has become the norm per say. Other guys that dynoed in april saw gain equel to what they added. The dyno is at a machine shop that does alot of highperformance race engines so I assume that he know his dyno pretty well.

What rpm is peak horsepower at.

Yep...here is the track dyno calculator....

http://www.dragtimes.com/horsepower-...calculator.php

It matched my dyno within a few hp. Now this is for flywheel...
