dirt logic shocks?
dirt logic shocks?
I have seen that fabtech is now oofering their dirt logic shocks for the dodge ram. I know some ford guys that really love these shocks but they have the bigger 4.0 shocks not the ones that we get. Has anybody used these shocks? Hoe do they compare to bilstien 5100's are they worth the extra money? I would love to get kings from Thuren but it is not in the budget, and I need new shocks. Thanks guys.

I have a buddy that runs the Dirtlogic 4.0's on his Super Duty....with the 4 link conversion. Rides like crap.
I would think the cost difference between the Dirts and the Kings would be negligible, and you can get the Kings custom valved for your application instead of whatever the dirts come with off the shelf.

Don't know if I read it right.....but the Dirt Logic 4.0 coil overs are almost $1K each.....
For the price of 2 front shocks, you could buy all 4 King 2.5's and the towers.....

Oh. I saw he said Thuren's Kings were not in the budget, which would lead me to believe the Fabtech crap is cheaper. At $1000 ea, you could have (4) Kings, coils, and towers from Don and not have to revalve them when they arrive.

no he said he knows some people with fords that have the 4" but "there not the same ones we get" hes talking about the 2.25s probably the non res for that price, Im pretty sure they used to be made by fox as fox use to have valving and rebuilding instructions on there support site however i dont know if that is still true.
Last I heard Fabtech is now building the Dirt Logic shocks themselves.
In my opinion, Fabtech's, Pro Comp's, Rancho's, etc. reservoir shocks are in a different league than King, Sway-A-Way, and Fox, and kind of a waste of money. The valving will suck, and the quality just isn't there. I'd recommend you go all the way or stick with something like the Bilsteins until you can go all the way.

My current shocks are leaking pretty bad(dripping) so I guess I will just stick with the bilsteins until kings are in the budget. I just did not know if the dirt logics were any better than the bilsteins or not. I already knew they were not in the same league as kings, sway away, or fox shocks. Thanks for the input.
