I believe that you have to tap into a wire in between the BCM and the Dashboard. There is no wiring connection between the Headlight switch and the gauge cluster. The headlight switch tells the BCM what lights you want on and the BCM turns them on. I dont know the exact wire color but on a 2002 Caravan I was working on, all the wires powering up any dash lights(radio, cluster, HVAC controls) were Orange with a different color tracer so Orange and White sounds correct. Good luck!

I pulled out my light switch and used a probe to find the wire for the parking lights. I believe it was tan and can't remember the other color. Memory is starting to go . But I tapped into the parking light wire and it works great. I'm running a three gauge pod. No problems.

It is the orange wire with a black strip. There are 2 of them! use the one on the bottom. The best thing to do is use a tester to make sure you get the right one. Hope this helps. Jack

IF YOU ARE GOING WITH THE IN DASH GAUGE UNIT THEN YOU CAN JUST TAP INTO THE ORANGE AND GREY WIRE OFF OF THE HVAC UNIT. THIS CONTROLS THE LIGHTS ON YOUR HAVAC AND ALSO DIMS WITH THE REST OF THE DASH.
