Ive been looking to try something different for boxes/programmers. Can anybody relate the two?? Power, Smoke, Egts????

 

i own both but my truck is a 04.i prefer the predator,i found the race set off high rail presure codes and gave me timing rattle,i stacked the 2 using the pred on a no timing stack tune and it didnt feel as strong as the pred on a non stack timing tune.this may not help as mines an 04.

 

Im loving my Diablo, really impressed !

 

I guess im just worried about all the injector issues i was reading about due to the Predator. Plus the tech support blows (Diablo) and Quad seems to be on top of the game

April, what kind of boost #'s are you seeing??

I have a Diablo. It does make great power with reasonable EGT's. But the awesome idea of a forum with tech support (very attractive) shriveled up right after I got mine. I thought I was buying a product with tech's that would aggressively go after any requests or problems.

 

Yeah thats not the case... however Ive searched through the forums and found everything I was looking for.

As far as boost #s I dont know... no guage yet. Looking soon.

 

Dont get me wrong Diablo makes awesome power, but im just looking to try something new. But i want it to be worth the switch too

 

I havent had injector issues with mine. 12k miles or so on the RKL and puffer tunes.

 

I have run both. The Predator makes more power than the Quad race but it IS rated for more so it should be no surprise. I liked my Quad box too and were it not for my truck hating every box I put on it I would still be running it. They think they have figured out my issue so I will probably have another Race box soon. I love the power of the Predator but I never trusted downloaders and the only reason I bought one was the ridiculously low price I got. It's awesome but it IS detectible by the dealer no matter what the DS guys say. And yes, the guys doing the actual programming were on their forums everyday when I first got mine but they have since faded away and that is very disappointing....

 

I was stuck on the side of the road and called them for help and they told me the tech guy I needed to talk was eating lunch. They then told me he had other callers he had to return calls to and it would likely be later in the day or in the am before he could get to me. I ended up just intalling the factory program and got on my way. As soon as I got home I sent the thing back. I do not care how well or how crappy it works, if you can not support the product you should not be selling it!

 

I have the Quad Race, and love it.
I have never had or driven the Diablo.
The product quad offers is great, along with awesome Customer Service.
They are stright shooters there, so give them call and ask any questions.

 

Hey Welndmn, I have the quad race too and love it. The only thing is I do have that rattle. Timing? Do you know if it hurts anything? Just sounds like my old 6.9. I wonder if I should have it recalibrated to tone it down. I will leave it alone unless it is damaging something. Thanks

 

I have the quad race box, preditor programmer and Superchips programmer. I hae experimented with all of them if I had to chose only 1 it would be the Quad Race box, Currently I stack the Race box with Super chips it works the best. Stacking with the preditor got me slower 1/4 times and High EGT's
