DI-PRICOL gauges

DI-PRICOL says "NOTE: DI-Pricol HIGHLY recommends purchasing the "Installation Wiring Harness" for use with the OPTIX line." Could some one please explain this. Does anyone have experience with this who could tell me if I should get the wiring harness. Im not shure of there purpose for recommending it? Is it just so I dont have to run as many wires?

I have 4 Dipricol Optix gauges in my truck...the gauges come with a wiring harness that plugs into the back of the gauges, but the optional "wiring harness" kit adds an individual dimmer so you can asjust the brightness of the lights. Also, if you are installing 2 or 3 gauges in the same location, you can order the specific harness (pressure, EGT, temp, etc..) and it will have the wiring for each gauge tied into a common. Makes wiring them up much simpler.

Definitely worth the money in my opinion, especially to get the gauge brightness to match..

Thanks a lot, I will be ordering a boost, egt, and tranny temp for the a pillar....then a fuel pressure gauge right before I start "moding" my truck. How long have you had your gauges and have you had any problems with them? (do they include instructions for the wireing part) -thanks

May I ask where you ordered your gauges from? I seem to remember there was problems with the I-pillar mount for the 06's?
I think it was Diesel Manor that was having the problems..? (but could be wrong)

I like the look of the DiPricol's, they seem to be the closest match to our factory gauges.

Me too, after installing the DiPricol Rail Pressure Gauge next to my Autometer electric fuel pressure gauge I would love to switch. The gauges look great day and night. But until I can replace all of them I will just stay with the Autometer. The Autometer guages have always been reliable for me and these have been on for two years now. Still don't know how well the DiPricol Optix will hold up.

gauges

I've had my Dipricols for 5-6 months now. I bought them from HP UPgrades (DTR Advertiser). I have the Pyro in the pillar, and the Tranny, FP gauge, and Boost in the cubby hole. I am very happy with the gauges. Excellent lighting and good responsiveness. Only problems so far was I had to install a "snubber" in the boost line to eliminate a rattle in the mechanism, and also twice I noticed the Pyro reading higher than expected normal at shutdown (I always wait to 300f before shutting down). Both times this cleared up as soon as I cycled the key, so I think it was just a hiccup in the stepper motor.

Overall I am very happy and would buy them again.

BTW- I would suggest the 0-60# gauge. My stock truck makes around 34#.
