we can complain and whin all we want but, unless you have the funds to go up against the big 3.... you're gonna be out of luck. Magnuson-Moss Warranty Act or not. They count on the fact most will never take it to count.

My warranty was gone the day I brought my truck home. Not a problem as I didn't expect to have one after doing what I've done to my truck.

The Nav radio in my truck went out 10 month into owning the truck. I went to my local dealer and they actually laughed and said... " you really don't think we're going to warranty anything, do you ? "

You can bet I was pi$$ed. What does a radio have to do with any modifications. It's a stock radio that was never touched. Anyway, I raised hell and they called D/C. Because they told D/C my truck was built to the hilt.... site unseen, D/C denied the claim !!!!!

So, I just went to another dealer who was much more mod friendly and had it warrantied within 10 minutes.

The exact same thing happened when my passenger side door window cracked. It did it on it's own but, they denied warranty. Went back to the other dealer and it was warrantied within 10 minutes again.

bottom line.... the big 3 are out to screw anyone they can. Some dealers aren't afraid of them though and will help out their customers as much as they can.

isn't that the truth..... everyone seems to be getting bailed out except those who really need it.

Exactly, I completely agree with that. Its too bad that most dealers arent willing to give the benefit of the doubt. I guess I cant really blame them though, because when they do warranty work, GM (or dodge, or ford) pays them really poorly.

Here is a link from Ross at EFILive stating that programming history is ONLY stored in the ECM, and you can swap ECM's and be fine.

Dealers around here won't warranty a stock truck, I wouldn't even bother with mine. It is pathetic. I didn't have my truck 2 months before my stereo went and only 1 month off the 3/36 or w/e and they would just sell a radio for a deal I just said F warranty they won't replace anything if fails stock so I might as well mod it, not like I want them touching my truck anyways. The Moss-Magnason like said has nothing to do with adding programmers etc, it's to due with using different brands of oil, filters, and stuff like that.
