I drilled...and used grommets...

Those connectors leave NO room for new wires. I have had zero wear, pinch or chafe (sp?) is almost 4 years.

Painting. Thats why we are going to finish the box with fiberglass on top, to be able to paint it and give it a custom look. Carpet looks too plain.

Same here.

The connectors are really difficult to work through. Only way is to find the speaker cables in the connector, remove them, drill through it and pass the 16 gauge speaker cable. However, this is very risky since you could end up damaging other cables or connections from the locks, windows, etc. So better not to take chances.

sounds good. Has anyone used door boots from another vehicle for the door speaker wires? It would look clean that way.

Circuit Breaker:

The main fuse holder or circuit breaker was installed next to the car battery. A custom acrylic piece was made to attach the fuse holder. Since the fuse holder is clear plastic, the combination of the acrylic piece looks very good.

Subbox Advance:

We finally took out the subwoofer box. Now we are giving the shape that we want to start covering it with the fiberglass resin.

First HCCA Component installation:

The first set of 6 1/2" components are now installed.

Since the front doors come with 6x9" speakers, a custom plate was made to attach the HCCA 6 1/2 speaker to the door:

The tweeter was installed in the stock speaker area located at the front of the dash. The stock speaker was a 3-4", so a small plate was also needed to attach the HCCA tweeter.

Tweeters are supposed to go near the midbass component, but we did it this way to have a better sound image since the kickpanels are going to fill the gap between them.

HCCA Crossovers:

These crossovers are BIG. And we needed to hide 4 of them !!

But it seems that the space beneath the center console was MADE to hold these crossovers !!

It was a perfect fit. So if anyone has a center console and needs to hide crossovers or any other stuff, this is a good place to hide it.

Correct, center channel is out. The Kenwood head unit that I am using does not have a center channel processor for true 5.1 audio.
