custom 06-08 headlights

i just finished completely restoring my 03 dodge to look like an 06 dodge and painted it from white to black... and now everything is done and is together except for headlights i want something different and cant find anything i want any sugestions? the colors of my truck are black and monster green i am thinking about just making my own by taking the lens off painting the inside black and putting a green led strip in it to make it glow green does any one have any ideas??? please open to anything

Recon makes some pretty wicked headlights, thought about putting them on my 06. They're pricey but they're slick.

As in you changed out the front fenders, light support brackets and associated pigtails?

You can do the nightrunner mod over a weekend. It's easy just take your time. Things go wrong if you try to use too much heat too fast. Here's the write up by 53Willys--

actually i stripped the whole truck down doors off fenders off bed off it was white and i put a show finish black on it i have been doing body work for 4 years

thanks man i already got them apart and everything no melting or warping of the black housing it was really easy had them both done in 30 mins... now im just waiting for some green led lights to put inside before i seal them back up

Yep - Night Runner lights.

The aftermarket lights tend to have too many issues either electrical or preliminary bulb failures.

And most of em look like crap too IMO
