Hey guys check out the numbers on these marine 5.9's...Man looks like high horsepower numbers for stock engines....almost makes you feel like your motor should have 450HP stock...

With having lived in Alaska for six years. You will not get those numbers unless you have a keel cooler or any cooler that pumps COLD sea water into your aftercooler. I might add that all the above are made of brass..Thats why you see the high HP numbers...Sorry the coolers are the ones made of brass....Salt water corrosion

 

yeah it is a lot easier to make power when you have hundreds of gallons per hour flowing through you engine and intercooler

 

Ya there some good engines, but im kinda biased since i work more cummins marine....but just like Riflemanusmc said they have some serious coolers including a water manifold and a fuel cooler.
