Exclamation Crazy Larry Discontinued !

Bully Dog Crazy Larry Program is Suspended

Bully Dog Management has made a determination to discontinue the Crazy Larry program in its present form. Keep checking back with www.bullydog.com for exciting changes that are going to be happening in 2008. We are anticipating that 2008 will be our best year ever.

FAQ

Will Bully Dog bring back the Crazy Larry tune at some point in the future? At this point the only honest answer that we can provide is we don’t know. Check back in the 1st or 2nd quarter of next year.

Does this apply to both the Triple Dog and the PMT? Yes, this applies to all products produced by Bully Dog Technologies.

Is this part of the changes where people will have to pay for race tunes?

Can I ask a couple silly questions?
#1 whas there a particular reason that crazy Larry was discontinued? i.e. - failure of stock parts and such?
#2 What in the world are all the numbers in your sig?

Buddy,

Do us all a big favor and kick "Bully Dog Management" square in the nuts. The fact is I would of never purchased my Triple Dog if it wasn't for the Crazy Larry tune, what a joke.

Wonder how many Bully Dog customers are now going to jump ship, can you say SmartyCR?

If we update our Triple dog over the web (on an older version) would we loose Crazy larry?

Disclosing that I am a Smarty guy up front, I think you're being a little harsh. Their management certainly made a mistake by discontinuing now as opposed to waiting for the new stuff for whatever reasons. I am sure the executive team thought out all the ramifications before the decision. In the long run, the competitive nature of this business only serves you the consumer. Smarty outdoes Bullydog until they respond with better then Quad has to one up to keep up and I know Smarty will keep doing the same. They have to or go out of business... now having to pay for the new tunes after you have already forked out $1k for a PMT sucks, but R&D costs money.

Relax guys were talking next year which is in what three weeks. I can't discuss the exact reasons for doing this on an open forum, but I assure you they are sound and sensible.

Let me remind everyone that Bully Dog was the first company ever to release a downloader for the 3rd Gen Dodge, and for years now we have offered Extreme and Crazy Larry power upgrades for free.

Seriously, you guys, please be patient with us and watch for the new stuff we have coming in 2008. We will be revolutionizing the way people think about tuning there diesel again.

Jump ship if you want to, but don’t be surprised if you find yourself jumping back on in a few months.

Bud

The numbers in my signature are a joke and I put them there to see who could figure it out. They are not binary for what was edited up above and they have been there for a long time now.

I agree, my knee jerk reaction is a bit harsh assuming that Crazy Larry, or a comparable tune does become available in the future. However, the FAQ indicates that may never happen, giving Crazy Larry users the shaft if they ever update their tuner or a new flash for our trucks gets released by Dodge.

Either way I'm covered as I also own a SmartyCR, I just preferred Crazy Larry and liked having the option to use either one without worrying about an update hindering one worthless.

Thanks!

I agree with soulezoo, and as Bud said there are exciting changes for 2008. I think I would be a little more optimistic of the future instead of dwelling on past programs. Its not the end of the world...just the end of crazy larry.

I dont see its that big of an issue. I already have crazy larry and I am pleased with it. I never updated to the newer version. I will just keep running it until something better comes up next year.
