CP3/Lift Pump Needed?

Like my sig. says, I've got 50 hp injectors and at some point I want to get either a Smarty Sr. or EFILive tuning (depending on availability) and twins. I'm trying to plan out my budget and I'm wondering if I'd need a lift pump, a CP3 upgrade, or both? Anybody got a similar setup? If I had twins I'd want to be able to turn up the Smarty, not be limited by rail pressure.

All thoughts appreciated.

A lift pump is always a good idea. As far as injector pump, get a rail gauge and keep an eye on it. It will show you when you need a cp3 upgrade. I would go lift first. JMO

LP is a good idea. The CP3 is not needed until you get up in injector size and that is when you get over 100hp injectors is when that need may arise.

Anything more than stock really needs an LP upgrade so plan on it. Get FASS\AD depending on your likes and add a 2um filter just in front of the CP-3 or you will just trash your system and new parts. Depending on how much power you want you can reuse the OE cannister and stock filter for water seperation, or by pass the OE cannister for more fuel. If you bypass you will need a standalone water seperator in the system somewhere.

If you want to use the capability of the injectors and Smarty you will have to upgrade the CP-3. A bag of parts will get you so far and then it will be a worked over pump. Much over 100 HP and the stock CP-3 will be your roadblock.
