Cooper STT's or Toyo OC MT's?
I ran the 285 coppers first and they lasted maybe 25,000. They wore a little weird but I never did rotate them. By the end they had a very strange wear pattern and was told I needed new shocks. Don't know for sure. I pulled my gooseneck fully loaded and had no issues. I was a little worried about the D rating also, but pulled some heavy loads with no problems.
I have also been running the 285's on my work truck (05 PSD) and I'm on my 3rd set in 40,000 miles with regular rotations but LOTS of 4X4 driving with a 10,000 lb 3/4 ton. They drive nice, but seem a little soft, especially this current set. I've only had one fail, ripped a lug off and had a puncture in the AZ desert.
I currently have the 295 MT's on my regular truck. Very quiet and handle great. Have only 5,000 on them, but so far so good. They were awesome in the snow and mud this spring. Can't say about the wear yet, but everyone I know who runs them has great results. So far I'm happy with them and I like the looks of them a bit more than the STT's. Enjoy.

I have Coopers, but my long gravel road is chewing them up. I think they are too soft and only rated for 30,000 or so miles. I have been looking at all brands and think that I am just gonna go ahead and spend the extra money for Michelins. I think they are rated for almost twice the mileage as Coopers.

One of the big companies around here put coopers on all 15 or so of their units, they do a lot of off road to get to drilling sites. All of them had big chunks of rubber missing and wore out fairly quickly. They no longer run them. Most of the guys I talked to said they did great in the snow and mud but wouldn't put them on their personal trucks. Hope this helps.
