Coolant Temps
Has anyone who tows had any high coolant temps?
My outlook reads 210-220, maybe it's the outlook.
Also, dodge says to use G-05 or things will go sour(like high temps) I just thought dodge wants us to use thier stuff.
On my coolant needle , it will go 1/8-1/4 inch past the 200 mark, sometimes past the second zero.

I'm not sure what the 2004 gauge looks like.

if you dont like the coolant temp hitting 210*, you dont want to look at your oil temp when pulling then... upwards of 250* when pulling heavy and hard.
the 3rd gens run higher temps than previous engines, the oil squirters(for the pistons) remove more heat off the pistons, and the coolant has to absorb the heat the oil picked up.. the temp gauge will climb when hauling, but not high enough to cause concern. just ensure you have the proper amount of coolant, that your fan clutch works, and the belt is in good condition.
