connector tube issues?
I had a shop install mine cause im in OK working right now and I was dissapointed becouse I wanted the experience of doin it myself but now im glad cause it kinda sounds like a pain.
oh, man, I thought they would follow the trend on every other part on these trucks and cost a grand...
if they are that cheap, I will just buy new ones and not constantly worry about them being out of order.

Just my opinion, I think we all get a little to carried away with things. I have changed my injectors 6 times, I have 2 sets and I have never changed connector tubes. Thats why their are torque specs to make sure the tubes are properly seated. No problems, no leaks and 30K later Im not worried.
Looking at my receipt here there $22.30ea ($133.80 for set) from Broadway Ford in St Louis. Thats why I try not to go to dealer. I was in a bind last weak and bought 4 new balancer bolts from dealer $18 dollars what a rip. WE had a conversation where he told me that its because it has the cummins emblim on them. I told him that thats cause Dodge has to big of pockets and that if I'm not in a bind a cummins dealer saves you a butt load of cash.
i had a bid in on the tubes that were on ebay for 31 bucks then in the 1 minute left mark somehow somone won with 32 bucks my luck. i think you can use a crows foot on the wrench also for clearance if needed.
this is the set of directions I used, that called for 37ft lbs

i have heard 40ft lbs before, but I am probably gonna stick with 37 when I put my tubes back in.
