Confused about tires

Hello again!

Okay, the skins on the rig are due for a change and I want to get the best long wearing tires available. I know that it is hard to estimate what kind of wear I will get, but the truck is used as highway only and all I would like is a reasonably priced set of tires that will wear well and won't howl! The original General's lasted over 40K which surprised me and I guess that is because I do rotate and keep the pressure in check........

What would you folks recommend?

Thanks for the feedback and happy new year.

uniroyal laredo hd/h commercial for me. pretty quiet, good in snow if needed, good in rain to. I have 38000 and about 60% of the tread left. Price is right to. pretty good value all the way around. Lots of reviews say they are no good in the snow, but I think they are great for winter driving. In the mountains of colorado, montana and wyoming, and in north dakota snow storms they have gotten me through every time. Hope this helps. I am on my second set.

Nother vote for Dura Grapplers. Ultra quiet tire with respectable mud traction, and great wet traction. Very good wearing tire, and mounts easy with hardly any weights needed.

Big truck.... I got 90,000 miles out of my generals...They are reasonable and I had great wear... Mine is 2WD but I would not think that makes a great deal of difference... Rotated and balanced every 15K
