I figure i would start a new thread about quads new X2 box. Ok guys i am confused now and need your help. well i called Quadzilla today to ask a question about the new x2 box. I have a standerd quad XZT box. I was going to send it in to traded it in on a new X2 box.Then i was going to spend the 80 dollers so i could put the race tune on it. But i was told no i could not do that. something about the race box and the standerd box takeing diffrent wireing.So i asked the nice lady on the fhone. How come it sayd on your web site that i can down load the race version pdf file for 80 bucks for the x2 box.

she told me that when i upgrade to the x2 box that is all it will be. I told here i guess i do not understand what she was trying to tell me. so she transfers me to some guy and he pretty much told me the samething.That if i wanted the race version i would have to buy a hole new box. so has anybody elese run into this problem. I guess i am just stupid and do not understand. Thanks Mopar72

 

First there is no such thing as a Standard XZT it is just XZT, which stands for "Xzillaraider tow".

Now when you send in a box you will get back the same thing:
XZT = XZT
Standard = Standard
Race = Race.

If you have a standard and you want the race you then have to fill out the online form and push submit. (this is different than the PDF you printed off and sent in with your module) Once Quadzilla has this info and your card has cleared the extra $80 for the upgrade you will be e-mailed back a one time use update that will convert your standard box into a race and give you access to the race tunes on the website.

As far as I know they are working on a way to make the XZT2 upgradable all the way upto a race box but the harness are different and that is why the original XZT has not been upgradable for going on 3 years. Now Qzilla will have to let you know if he comes up with a way to make this happen.

hi thanks for the help. that was what i am wanting to do. Send my xzt in for the new xzt 2 so i can then get the race tune. The lady at quad was telling me that i could not do that and the web site is wrong.I do not know maybe she did not understand what i was asking her. I am going to call Quad tomarrow and talk to him. But thanks for the help Mopar72

 

If you send XZT for upgrade to XZT II you will still have a XZT with USB port and the ability to load a few files including the MM files. At present you will not be able to load XZ files, std-files or race-files. XZ=Xzillaraider and the XZT=Xzillaraider Tow. They are different modules. I had to go to internet to download .net framework for the files to load. Went to Filehippo.com for the files. Have fun.

 

If you have an XZT you will not be able to download any RACE files. You can download anything you want off of this page if you upgrade:
