how much does a new ecm cost for a 06 ctd ? I think mine is toast!!

was hooked up to boat trailer and while connecting batteries for the boat stereo the positive lead on one of the boat batteries touched the negative lead which caused a big arc and sent 24 volts through my truck and cooked the computer due to the voltage being transfered through the wire harness of the boat while the harness was hooked up to my truck. stupid hurts.......

Dodge Parts says $1203.80 for the ECM. Ouch!! Hard lessons learned my friend, hard lessons learned.

Hold on your ECM might not be fried, what's the problems your experienceing?
The 06 and newer trucks use a TIPM, totally integrated power module, and it might just need to be taken back to the dealership to have it turned back on. It acts like a breaker but has to be reset by dealer.

Yeah, I thought that wasn't possible on TIPM equipped trucks. Have it checked out before dropping all that coin.
